Sharpsville routs West Middlesex

The Sharpsville baseball team scored four runs in both the third and fourth inning to defeat their rival West Middlesex, 11-1 Thursday in five innings.

The game was scoreless through two innings, before the Blue Devils went to work from the plate. Morgan Titus led the way with two singles and two RBI’s.

Tyler Wansack went 1-4 with 2 RBI, Garrison Wieland hit 1-3 with 2 RBI, and Greg Popatek was walked four times, and scored three runs.

The Blue Devils’ George Keck threw a complete game with 3 hits, 4 strikeouts, and one un-earned run.

Sharpsville improves their overall record to 4-3, and 3-3 in the conference. Up next, the Blue Devils are on the road at Mercer, Wednesday, April 23rd.
