Cross displayed on Canfield’s public green

CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) — Today is Good Friday and a church in Canfield displayed Christ’s journey with the cross on the public green.

The Canfield United Methodist church had a display for visitors to see what Jesus experienced on Good Friday. It was inspired by ten scriptures that follow Jesus’ journey from betrayal to death.

Those objects were presented by photography and collages.

“Members of our church have designed visual depictions of each of these different steps Jesus took to the cross and to his death and that’s what we brought out into the green here in Canfield tonigh,” said Rev. Susan Brown.

The church’s next service will be Easter Sunday — where they’ll have two different morning services.
