Local egg hunt sees beautiful weather

BAZETTA, Ohio (WKBN) — Hundreds of children rushed to gather the most eggs at Bazetta Park.

More than 5,000 plastic eggs were placed in different areas of the park for kids to grab.

Folks with the Cortland-Bazetta Park Boards host the event each year. Organizer Michele DeProfio said that thanks to the sunshine, more families showed up on Saturday than in the past five years.

“Well we keep coming back to do this to give back to our community and to see all the smiles and joy on our children’s faces,” said DeProfio.

Parents also had the chance to have their kids pose with the Easter Bunny.
