Daffodil Weekend wraps up


YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Daffodil Weekend wrapping up today at Mill Creek Metro Parks.

The two-day event included a daffodil show at Fellows Riverside Gardens.

This was the 12th year for the event.

More than 250 daffodil entries came in from across the midwest.

The show was judged by members of the American Daffodil Society.

“They’re very happy flowers and of course its just great that spring is finally here. So, we’re thrilled to have them come visit us at the gardens,” said Arlene Lanz, Visitor Services Manger, Fellows Riverside Gardens.

Folks can enjoy close to 80,000 daffodils, tulips and other flowers at Fellows Riverside Gardens by the first week of May.
