YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A Mahoning County jury needed less than three hours Monday to find a Youngstown man guilty of murder.
Lamar Reese is one of two men charged in the Sept. 16, 2011, shooting death of 17-year-old Josh Davis on the city’s South Side. During the trial last week, witnesses testified it appeared the murder followed a robbery.
Reese could be sentenced to life in prison when he is sentenced in a couple months. He was found guilty of aggravated murder and robbery.
Reese’s trial was delayed earlier this month when he offered to take a polygraph test. Prosecutors had said that if Reese passed, they might have considered dropping the charges.
The other suspect, Frankie Hudson, is set to go on trial in late June.
