Warren shooting victim pleads guilty to drug charge

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) — A Warren woman shot during a deadly home invasion earlier this month was in court Tuesdaymorning on an unrelated charge.

Lisa Prater pleaded guilty to a charge of cocaine possession in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court. Prater was shot April 7 at a South Street S.E. house along with James Levels, who died. Prater told reporter Jeff Levkulich about that night as she was leaving the courtroom.

She said she is doing alright and remembers a little from that night. She also said that Levels was “a good guy that took care of his parents. He had a regular job to go to and his daughter.”

Prater said she did not know who shot her and Levels but she knows the police will catch the suspects.

So far, police have not made any arrests in the murder. Prater faces sentencing on the drug charge at a later date.
