Johnson tours North Lima plant

NORTH LIMA, Ohio (WKBN) — U.S. Congressman Bill Johnson, R-Ohio, continues to support oil and gas development and their related industries.

On Wednesday, he toured Specialty Fab in North Lima. The steel plant makes custom parts for various companies, and is experiencing a boom thanks to the oil and gas industry.

Johnson said it’s important for him to visit businesses personally so he can focus his efforts while in office.

“We wanted to come down to see what their challenges are and talk about their business model because a large part of our job is to understand the business community and make sure that what we’re doing in Washington is empowering small business owners, not making it more difficult for them,” Johnson said.

Johnson will be back in the Valley on Monday to host a Women in Energy Summit at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center.
