Man pleads guilty to air soft gun abuse

Robert Branch pleads in air soft gun abuse case

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) — One of two men who prosecutors said would shoot his sister’s children for sport with an air soft gun pleaded guilty in court on Wednesday.

Robert Branch, 28, will be sentenced at a later date on four felony counts of endangering children.

Police said Branch, along with Joseph Boone, 28, the father of the youngest three children, would shoot Colleen Stytle’s five children between the ages of 3 and 11 in her Larchmont Avenue home in January and February of last year.

Stytle, 31, was sentenced Jan. 28 to three years in prison on one felony count of endangering children. Prosecutors said Stytle allowed the men to shoot her children in exchange for cigarettes.

Boone was sentenced March 13 to 10 months in prison for his role in the crime.
