Miokovic rallies Poland past Howland

Senior Taylor Miokovic hit a three-run home run, and scored the winning run to help Poland win 7-6 over Howland Wednesday.

Miokovich went 1-3, including her 3 RBI homer in the bottom of the fourth inning to spark the comeback.

Howland got on top early with a run in the first inning, followed by a 5-run fourth inning. But Poland scored two runs in the bottom of the 7th to secure the victory.

Poland’s Jenna Schettler went 2-2, Kathyrn Wilson 2-3 for the Lady Bulldogs. Howland was led by Reann Litz, who went 2-4 with 2 RBI and Sara Price (2-4, RBI, HR).

Emily Price also went 2-3 with an RBI for the Tigers.

These two teams rematch Thursday night at Howland Park at 5 p.m.
