Crews are investigating a Youngstown apartment fire

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Youngstown Fire investigators are still trying to figure out what started a fire Saturday evening at the Grovewood Manor Apartments on Hillman Street at Ferndale Avenue.

The battalion chief says there was smoke in the hallway of the building when crews got there– and a lot of smoke in the apartment that was on fire.

One woman inside had to be taken to the hospital, her condition is unknown at this time.

The fire was contained to that one apartment, and everybody else is back in their homes tonight.

There are about 40 units in that building.

The structure itself wasn’t damaged.
