3 candidates left in YSU presidential bid

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) —  The list of names for Youngstown State University’s next president is getting smaller.

The search firm interviewed all six candidates over the weekend, and narrowed the list down from six to three people.

The school should know by Monday afternoon if the three candidates are still interested in the position. If so, they will each then visit the university, starting next Sunday.

The Board of Trustees will meet on May 8 to choose the final candidate.

They’ll work out a contract, and could possibly announce the next president by mid to late May.
