Covelli Centre welcomes Ringling Brothers circus

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Families from across northeast Ohio made their way to the Covelli Centre for the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey circus over the weekend.

This year’s Legends show kicked off Friday. The show features iconic circus stars and living mythological creatures.

The Legends show also has the largest display of exotic hair-hanging artists in the world, as well as Asian elephants, a 20-acrobat troupe and a high-flying trapeze act.

“I like the fact that they bring a variety of things to the circus. She loves the animals, see all the different things; she gets excited every year. The older she gets, the better it’s getting for her. She’s really excited this year,” said Austintown resident Sonya Kopnisky of her daughter, Hollie.

The last Legends’ show is scheduled for Monday at 7 p.m.
