Fire causes damage at Ellsworth home

ELLSWORTH, Ohio (WKBN) — A house fire in Ellsworth Tuesday morning appears to have destroyed a family’s home.

Firefighters were called to the house on South Salem Warren Road around 9:23 a.m.

Captain Edward Smith said the home is a total loss. He said high winds made the fire spread faster.

A cause has not been determined, but Smith said the fire does not appear to be suspicious.

About 30 firefighters from six departments worked to control the blaze. No injuries were reported.
