Bill Ritter, girls’ basketball coach at Cardinal Mooney High School has announced his resignation. Ritter, who has headed the Lady Cardinals program for four years, has coached in the area for twenty years. In addition to his tenure at Mooney with both their girls’ and boys’ program, Ritter also coached at Boardman for ten years. He remarked that each season he coached was “special ” and his entire twenty year “journey” was a “great experience.”

Ritter noted this year’s squad “represented the school well both on and off the court, demonstrating class and school pride that made everyone proud to be part of the team.” The team will return seven letter winners in the fall, including four starters.

Applicants for the vacated position should send letters of interest to Cardinal Mooney Athletic Director Don Bucci.
