South Side fire damages house

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Crews in Youngstown worked to contain a vacant house fire on the city’s South Side early Wednesday morning.

Flames broke out at a house on Tampa Avenue, off Indianola Avenue,  around 3 a.m. Wednesday. A neighbor called 911.

Firefighters managed to put out the fire and prevent it from damaging nearby houses.

The house sustained heavy smoke damage. No one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
