Fire damages apartment in Austintown

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Fire crews in Austintown are trying to figure out what caused a fire at an apartment complex Saturday.

The fire broke out Saturday afternoon in the bedroom of an apartment on New Road.

The family who lives there was home at the time but made it out okay.

The apartment was damaged and is not livable at this time.

Police shut down New Road while crews worked to get the fire under control.

The cause has been released.
