WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) — People descended on Packard Park on Sunday to raise money for those who cannot: Animals.
Now in it’s sixth year, Paws in the Park, is an annual fundraiser that helps local animal groups care for and manage area cat and dog populations.
However, according to organizers, it takes a lot more than one event or one group to be successful.
“We have a lot of volunteers this year, a lot of people have come out to help. A lot of people believe in these organizations,” said Corky Stiles, Treasurer of Trap-Neuter-Return of Warren.
Those groups include the Trumbull County pound, Legacy Dog Rescue and Cats are People, Too.
Rescue groups were also on hand for anyone looking to adopt a cat or dog.
