Poland tops Lakeview in softball showdown

POLAND, Ohio (WKBN) – Poland topped Lakeview 6-4 in a battle of the two top teams in the All-American Conference.

Brielle Nocera hit a 2-run home run in the fourth inning and finished the game 2-4 with a RBI. Jenna Schetter went 2-4 and scored a pair of runs in the win.

Starting Pitcher Ally Deemer worked five innings, allowing four earned runs with one strikeout to earn the win. Kristyn Svetlak earned the save, pitching two scoreless innings of relief.

Lakeview’s Sam Marino went 2-4 on the day with a solo home run. Meanwhile, Hannah Rogers drove in a pair of run going 2-4 in the loss, while Hannah Petrosky was 2-4 with an RBI.

Poland improves to 15-4 on the season, while Lakeview drops to 13-2.
