Mooney’s Jones commits to Kentucky

Mooney's Jordan Jones

Kentucky Head Football Coach and Cardinal Mooney grad Mark Stoops has made it a priority to recruit here in the valley.

In fact, there are a total of four local products currently on the roster, and two others that have signed letters of intent for next year.

You can now add another name to the list. Cardinal Mooney’s Jordan Jones has verbally committed to play at Kentucky. Last season, Jones led the Cardinals with 29.5 tackles, 5 for loss, 2 sacks, and 4 forced fumbles.

Those currently on the Wildcats roster include: Braylon Heard (Cardinal Mooney), Marcus McWilson (Cardinal Mooney), Chris Davis (Austintown Fitch), and Demetrious Davis (Austintown Fitch).

The two others from the area that have signed National Letters of Intent: Josk Krok (Niles), and Tymere Dubose (Youngstown Christian).
