arrest

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKBN) – The stepson of Niles Mayor Ralph Infante is in the Franklin County Jail after turning himself in to authorities on Thursday.

Edward Kapturasky Jr., 38, of Columbus, is accused of threatening several family members last week. His sister filed a complaint Friday in Niles Municipal Court stating her brother sent a threatening text message.

Niles police posted an officer outside of Infante’s office in Niles City Hall and outside his home over the weekend as a precaution.

Kapturasky is facing a charge of telecommunications harassment and will remain at the Franklin County Jail until two Niles police detectives pick him up Friday.
