YSU calls special board of trustee sessions

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The Youngstown State University Board of Trustees has called for an emergency meeting for 7:30 a.m. Friday in the Trustees Meeting Room on the first floor of Tod Hall on the YSU campus.

The board has also called for a special meeting for 6 p.m. Monday, May 12, in the Trustees Meeting Room on the first floor of Tod Hall on the YSU campus.

Both YSU and University of Akron officials met Thursday with big decisions to make on the future of who will be their presidents.

The YSU Search Advisory Committee met Thursday morning in executive session in regards to the search. Afterward, board members gave no comment on the search.

The University of Akron’s Board of Trustees were meeting at 2 p.m. Thursday for an executive session under an Ohio Revised Code rule that allows meetings regarding personnel decisions and contract negotiations.
