Man sentenced in newspaper carrier attack

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A man who attacked two newspaper carriers in Warren is heading to prison.

Darren Lee, 27, was sentenced to nine years in prison for the Jan. 31 attack on Mike Young and his daughter, Jennifer, 18, when they stopped in front of a home on West Avenue N.W. to deliver a Warren Tribune Chronicle. Several shots hit their car.

Lee was arrested a short time later and charged with felonious assault, possession of heroin and cocaine, carrying a concealed weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
