Just about every high school football player dreams about one day playing on Sunday’s. And that dream could be a reality very soon for five area players…four of which are Big 22 alumni.
Boardman native and Ohio State center Corey Linsley has the best shot. He was drafted over the weekend by the Green Bay Packers in the 5th round.
But after the Draft, several other players got a call.
Howland grad Tyler Scott was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Minnesota Vikings.
Liberty standout and Michigan tailback Fitzgerald Toussaint was invited to tryout with the Baltimore Ravens. Toussaint is a former Big 22 player of the Year.
Poland grad and Kent State safety Luke Wollet got a call from the New Orleans Saints. He’s invited to mini-camp.
And so was Wilmington native, and St Francis safety Jake DeMedal. He’s got an invitation to tryout with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
