Shots fired at house in Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A house on the South Side of Youngstown is littered with bullet holes and a man is in jail.

Police responded to the 100 block of Hilton Avenue around 1 a.m. Monday after the department’s shot spotter activation system alerted them to shots fired. Residents also reported that shots were fired in the area.

When police arrived, they found the house littered with bullets. A man was sleeping in the basement of house where at least one window was shot out.

No one was injured.

Michael Young, 32, of Youngstown was arrested a short time later and charged with firing shots into the home. He is being held in the Mahoning County Jail.
