High School Baseball Sectional Update

DIVISION I (Sectional Finals):
In the EAST Bracket, Austintown Fitch leads Warren Harding, 4-2 in the bottom of the 4th inning. Play will resume tomorrow (Thursday, May 15th beginning at 4:30 p.m.) from the point of stoppage at Austintown Fitch H.S.

In the WEST Bracket, both the Nordonia @ Kenston and Twinsburg @ Aurora games were postponed and will be played in their entirety on Wednesday, May 15th. Both Games will begin at 4:30 p.m.

DIVISION II (Sectional Finals):
It was Cardinal Mooney over Lakeview, 15-0 (5-innings); Canfield defeated Struthers, 4-0 and Poland topped Ravenna, 2-0.
West Branch was leading Niles McKinley, 10-0 in the bottom of the second when rain forced a stoppage in play. They will resume action from that point on Thursday, May 15th at 4:30 pm. at West Branch.

DIVISION III (Sectional Semi-Finals):
It was Crestview over Liberty, 4-0; Lisbon over Columbiana, 4-0 and Campbell Memorial over United, 2-1 in 8-innings.
Brookfield vs East Palestine at Cene Park in Struthers was rained out and they will try once again tomorrow (Cene Park, 7:00 p.m., Field #2) to get the game in, weather providing.

Division IV Sectional semi-final action gets underway with six games on tap:
(#10) Warren JFK at (#9) Sebring; (#7) Lowellville at (#4) Heartland Christian; (#12) Wellsville at (#5) Mineral Ridge; (#11) Leetonia at (#8) Southern Local; (#13) Youngstown Christian at (#3) Mathews and (#14) Lordstown at (#6) McDonald. BYES – advancing to Sectional FINALS on Friday, May 16th are #1 seed Western Reserve and #2 seed Jackson-Milton.
