Howland softball advances past Boardman

HOWLAND, Ohio (WKBN)- The Howland softball team scored three runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to rally past Boardman, 5-3 in a Division II Sectional at Lewis Field Wednesday.

The Tigers were led by Victoria Rappach, who went 3-3, with an RBI. Reann Litz hit 2-3 with an RBI, and Sara Price went 1-3, while adding a home run.

Hanna Kowach received the win (9-2) with just one earned run and three strikeouts in two innings on the mound. Hannah Burke allowed 6 hits, 2 ER, and threw 3 K’s in 5 IP.

Howland improves to 12-8 on the season and will face Aurora Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
