YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Three men assaulted Dominic C. Marchionda, the son of Youngstown-area real estate group CEO Dominic Marchionda Saturday night in downtown Youngstown, according to a police report.

The report states Marchionda was minding his own business when he was assaulted by three men. Marchionda said he was walking with his female cousin when the trio began to make inappropriate remarks towards the woman. Marchionda said he verbally responded to them, prompting the assault.

A Youngstown police officer who was working a side job at the time called for backup. Officers arriving at the scene broke up the fight.

“I still don’t feel unsafe,” Marchionda said. “It’s nice to know that people care enough about our downtown…to do the right thing.”

Police arrested Dylan Samargia, Nicholas Hovey, and Ronald Howell in connection with the incident. The three were booked at the Mahoning County Jail and later left after they each posted $500 bond.

No contact information was available for the three, who will be arraigned May 29.
