North Side house fire ruled arson

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown police are looking for a person of interest in connection with a Thursday afternoon fire on the city’s North side.

It happened near the corner of Fairgreen Avenue and Convington Street just after noon. Authorities said no one was seriously hurt, but police are looking into reports of an argument between people living in the house that may have occurred before the fire started.

Firefighters said the fire was intentionally set and damage is estimated at $8,000.
