SHARON, Pa. (WKBN) — For the past 18 months, we have been covering the journey of Adrienne Toth of Sharon, who found out in the same week that she was pregnant and also was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer.
She gave birth to her son, Kellan, in April of 2013 and shortly after his birth, she was declared cancer free. Toth even underwent a double mastectomy to ensure the cancer did not return.
But Toth now is fighting cancer for a second time. She was diagnosed with liver cancer a few months ago and has been going through treatment in PIttsburgh.
On Monday, she received the good news that the lesions of her liver have shrunk significantly after just six weeks of chemotherapy. She said she will continue receiving the treatment until her oncologist feels comfortable taking her off.
We will continue to follow her story and bring viewers updates as they become available.
