Bristol falls in District Final

CORTLAND, Ohio (WKBN) – Bristol’s softball tournament run came to an end with a 3-0 setback to Windham in the Division IV District Finals Wednesday.

The game featured two of the best pitchers in Ohio, with Windham’s Brittany Knight facing off with Bristol’s Ashlyn Slusher. Knight tossed a complete-game shutout with six strikeouts, while Slusher suffered the loss for the Panthers, but finished with nine strikeouts o the day.

Windham struck first in the top of the seventh, on a Brittany Knight RBI single to make it 1-0. The Bombers added two more in the seventh inning, stealing home and later adding an RBI single.

The Panthers drop to 13-2 on the season.
