Man sentenced in deadly crash

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A man on trial for a deadly car crash that killed his passenger will never be able to drive again.

Deone Cray of Campbell, accepted a plea deal that suspended his license for life, and gave him only a six-month prison sentence. Prosecutors said the 19-year old was driving a car that crashed into a South Side building in September.

The accident killed DeLouis Clark III, 31, of Youngstown.

Witnesses said at the time that the car was speeding down Indianola Avenue, lost control and flipped over, crashing into a building on Hunter Avenue. Police said Cray left the scene of the crash and went on his own to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Cray then later returned to the scene.

He was arrested on a charge of aggravated vehicular homicide in January.
