Business fire could disrupt Campbell festival

CAMPBELL, Ohio (WKBN) — So what about any outstanding rental orders for chairs and tents through this now burned-down business?

First News dug deeper into how the owner plans to make good on any and all commitments in the coming weeks and months.

First News spoke with the owner of Struthers Chair and Tent Rental earlier on the phone.

He understandably didn’t want to go on camera tonight, as he scrambles to figure out how to replace 70 tents destroyed in the fire, with very little insurance money.

Meanwhile, a major client wonders if they’ll have chairs for folks to sit on, and tents over their heads in a matter of days.

“I don’t want to be at the last minute saying well, this person is going to come through– and then he’s not going to come through,” said Keith Yeropoli, groundskeeper at St. Joseph the Provider.

The people running the festival insist they don’t need any help.

But the one thing everyone can agree on– tents or no tents, rain or shine…

This parking lot will be full of rides, games, food and fun come June 5.

“There is still going to be a festival, we are not going to stop the festival, the fire kind of set us back, but it won’t stop us,” said Yeropoli.
