Austintown to roll out new buses

Austintown's bond issue failed at the polls

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Austintown Local School District will roll out several new buses next year.

Fourteen propane-fueled, high-tech buses are coming to the district thanks to a federal grant.

The federal money will pay for 80 percent of the $1.2 million price tag.

Along with fuel savings, the district will spend less on maintenance with the new buses.
