Crews battle two fires in Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown firefighters were busy Friday morning battling two separate fires at the same time on the East Side.

Crews were called about 4 a.m. to the two vacant houses at the corner of Sunshine Avenue and McGuffey Road.

Heavy smoke and flames were seen shooting from the structures.

Since the houses were vacant, firefighters allowed them to burn down, making sure the flames didn’t spread to nearby homes or trees.

A cause has not been determined.
