Western Reserve: State Tournament bound

Lorain, OH (WKBN)- The Western Reserve baseball team rallied to score five runs in the 5th inning and defeat Cuyahoga Heights, 8-4 in a Division IV Regional Final at the Pipeyard Friday.

The Blue Devils (19-5)  trailed 4-0 at one point, but battled back in the fourth and fifth innings to secure their spot in a State Semifinal next weekend in Columbus.

Tristan Bova led the way by hitting 2-3 with an RBI. John Clegg went 3-4, while Wyatt Larimer hit 2-4. Clegg relieved Nick Allison, and would go on to get the win, allowing just one hit in a 3.1 innings, with 3 strikeouts.

Western Reserve advance to play the defending champion, Newark Catholic (19-7) next Thursday at 1 p.m. at Huntington Park.
