Woman charged in connection to West Side shooting

Woman arrested in connection to Youngstown shooting.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Georgia woman is being held in the Mahoning County Jail on $60,000 bond on charges surrounding an attempted murder in Youngstown.

According to police, Nahdia Baker, 27, of Stone Mountain, Ga., was arrested Thursday at Saint Elizabeth Health Center where she was being treated for wounds sustained during an apparent assault.

Police charged her with complicity to attempted murder in connection to a Sunday shooting in the 400 block of Imperial Street on the city’s West Side.

Youngstown Police Lieutenant Douglas Bobovnyik said Baker did not fire a weapon but did not release details on how she was involved.

Police said several shots were fired about 12:45 a.m. Sunday at a person parking a car on Imperial Street. The gunman missed the person but hit two nearby houses.
