BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – Auto enthusiasts were given the chance to test-drive a different type of machinery on Sunday.
Humility of Mary Health Partners and Intuitive Surgical allowed folks to check out the da Vinci surgical robot during the Fuel the Fight car and motorcycle show at Boardman High School.
The robot is used in minimally invasive prostate procedures in place of open surgery.
“Unfortunately, prostate cancer is the most diagnosed cancer among men in the Valley, and it is one of the top three cancers here at HMHP,” said Jonathan Fauvie, HMHP special events manager. “We just can’t let that happen. We have to do something.”
The car show benefits Man Up Mahoning Valley which provides education and awareness about prostate cancer along with free screenings to men across the Valley.
