Boardman vandalism gets erased

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) — There is no longer any evidence of vandalism at several Boardman Township landmarks.

Vandals damaged several items over the Memorial Day weekend, including the “Welcome to Boardman” sign on Market Street. On Monday, workers repainted the sign, erasing any evidence of the graffiti.

The rock at Glenwood Middle School also was vandalized, and police still are looking for those responsible. They could face hefty fines or jail time, plus be made to pay for the damage and cost of repairs.

Anyone with information on the crime can call the Boardman Police Department at 330-726-4144.
