Beaver Township PD makes arrest in missing $2 bill case

BEAVER TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) — Beaver Township Police arrested Breanne Lawrence, 21, on Friday on a charge of fifth-degree felony theft in connection with a large collection of $2 bills that went missing earlier this month.

Authorities are set to arraign Lawrence in Canfield Court on Tuesday at 5 p.m.

A Beaver Township police lieutenant said on June 3 that his department was searching for a suspect who they believe stole 773 $2 bills on June 1.

Lt. Eric Dattilo said a homeowner called June 1 saying that someone had stolen the bills, along with some jewelry, from a residence in Beaver Township. Dattillo said he asked some stores in the community to be on the lookout for someone trying to pawn off a large amount of $2 notes.
