Some Mercer Co. primary races to be decided by casting of lots

MERCER COUNTY, Pa. (WKBN) — Tuesday, the Mercer County Director of Elections released a list of candidates who secured enough write-in votes in the May 20 primary election to either win a seat or nomination.

Over 130 write-ins were officially approved by the board at a public meeting Tuesday.

Also included were nearly 50 tied candidates whose races will be decided by a casting of lots at noon on June 6 in the Mercer County Courthouse Assembly Room.

The full list of these races can be found here. The races labeled “casting of lots,” indicate races in which a tie occurred. The other names are candidates who won either a seat or nomination.
