Warren man pleads guilty to falsely selling popcorn to seniors

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) — A Warren man pleaded guilty Monday to nine counts of theft in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court for selling Boy Scout popcorn without actually delivering it.

Prosecutors said Brian Billman, 34,  went door to door selling Boy Scout popcorn in Lordstown and Warren and took the money without actually giving them their popcorn.

The counts are felonies because they involved senior citizens.

Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Peter Kontos ordered a pre-sentence investigation before sentencing Billman.
