Lee named Howland boys basketball coach

The Tigers advance to play Lakeview in the D2 District Semifinals next Monday.

Howland, OH (WKBN) – The Howland Schools Board of Education has officially hired Jason Lee as the new boys varsity basketball coach.

Lee currently teaches Biology and Science at Howland High School and most recently was the boys head basketball coach at Mathews HS. He previously had assistant coaching stints at Warren JFK, Lima Central Catholic, Mathews and Howland High School before being named the head coach at Mathews in 2010.

Lee served as the head coach at Mathews the past four seasons and his team won the NEC Championship in the 2011-12 season as he was named TCCA Coach of the Year and Warren Tribune Chronicle Coach of the Year for D III/IV.
