Motorcyclist killed in Columbiana County

ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) — A Warren man was killed Wednesday morning when his motorcycle overturned on U.S. Route 30.

Ronald L. Burns, 63, was heading east on Route 30 just west of the state Route 170 exit about 9:45 a.m. when the 1999 Honda Goldwing 1500 overturned and ejected him. Burns came to rest on the left berm of the road and the motorcycle continued and struck the center median wall.

EMS and rescue personnel from five departments responded to the scene.

The Lisbon post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said the events leading up to Burns’ death remain under investigation.
