Sunoco expands road repairs in Mahoning County

Repairs begin on Berlin Station Road

ELLSWORTH TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) – Sunoco Logistics will completely repave and restore roads near a work site in Ellsworth Township.

The company is installing a fuel transmission pipeline across the county and work trucks have damaged Berlin Station and Knauf roads.

WKBN First News looked into complaints by residents last week about the badly damaged roads and wanted to know who will repair the roads and when.

While the Road Use Maintenance Agreement does not specifically name the entire expanse of Knauf and Berlin Station roads, only portions of it, Sunoco has agreed to pay for complete reclamation of both roads as they span Ellsworth and Berlin townships.

Mahoning County Engineer Pat Ginnetti said work should begin early next week.
