UAW workers at GM Lordstown see dues increase

LORDSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — For the first time in early 50 years, union workers at General Motors Lordstown will soon see more money taken out of their pay.

The United Auto Workers Union is raising its dues nationally. The change takes effect in August and will cost the average union worker an extra $10 to $17 dollars a month.

Union leaders say the increase is because of drop in membership.
