Police charge student in threat, 3 alleged bullies

SHARPSVILLE, Pa. (AP) – Police say they’ve charged a 14-year-old Pennsylvania high school freshman with threatening to shoot his classmates, as well as three other student accused of bullying the suspect.

None of those charged were being identified, because the case is being handled in Mercer County Juvenile Court.

The (Sharon) Herald reports the charges stem from an incident last month.

The Sharpsville High School freshman who allegedly threatened the others has been charged with terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and harassment. The alleged bullies are charged with disorderly conduct and harassment.

Police say the threat suspect told them three classmates had flicked him in the chest area and poked him in the ribs repeatedly. Police say the boy told them he made the threats because he was frustrated and stressed out.

School officials aren’t commenting on any disciplinary action.
