PTW: Joe Falasca, WR/Western Reserve

Player to Watch: Joe Falasca, WR/Western Reserve
Height: 6’6 weight: 200

If an outsider has to watch one play from 2013 to see the type of player Joe Falasca is – you’d need to look no further than to see the 62-yard slant pattern he ran against Danville in the Regional Semifinal. Falasca caught a ball with four defenders around him in the center of the field and took it to the house for six points. Joe is a terror on the outside for defensive coordinators. He has outstanding size and is a handful to bring down to the ground.

At 6’6, one may think that he doesn’t have great speed. Just ask McDonald’s secondary, on two separate plays, he got behind the Blue Devil defenders and caught a pair of touchdowns (55 and 47). Falasca caught 39 passes for 930 yards and 15 scores during the regular season.

Reserve will travel to Columbiana to take on the Clippers in week one of the 2014 season (August 29).

Tomorrow: Lou Derloni, RB-OLB/Hickory
