SEBRING, Ohio (WKBN) – A woman from North Benton will spend time in jail for having over 100 dogs on her property and not properly caring for them.
Terry Wylie, 58, was sentenced in Sebring Court on Thursday to six months in jail for not having proper veterinary care for the animals and keeping them in unsanitary conditions.
This is the first medically-related conviction in Mahoning County since the law regarding animal care changed in September 2013, according to Animal Charity. Wylie had to relinquish ownership of most of the dogs.
More than 100 dogs were seized during a raid Jan. 22 at Wylie’s North Johnson Road home.
