HARTFORD, Pa. (WKBN) — Saturday was fan appreciation night at the Sharon Speedway in Hartford.
That meant several things, but one of the biggest was free admission for everyone.
Fans could also head out onto the track themselves during intermission to get autographs and pictures with stars from all six of the divisions that compete at the track.
The race track is making this an annual tradition. Last year was the first year for the event.
“Just try to pack the place and let everyone come out and have a good time. Can’t do a whole lot of things for free these days. So, hopefully we’ll pick up some new fans and they’ll come out and enjoy theirselves,” said Sharon Speedway General Manager David Willoughby.
The big event was originally scheduled for back in May, but rain meant they had to reschedule.
It worked out well however, because Saturday night was also the race track’s Father’s Day celebration, as fathers got to enjoy some time at the track for free.
