Struthers siren fixed after malfunction

STRUTHERS, Ohio (WKBN) — The Emergency Alert Siren behind the Struthers High School Football Stadium was fixed Tuesday morning after Mahoning County Emergency Management Association Interim Director Dennis O’Hara said it was malfunctioning earlier.

A maintenance crew was dispatched to repair the siren.

O’Hara did not know when the siren started malfunctioning, saying he was notified by the Struthers Fire Dept. earlier Tuesday morning that the siren went off for three minutes.

O’Hara said he did not know why the siren was not working correctly and that the Mahoning County EMA would probably have to have the parts to the siren looked at or replaced.
